Mrs Livingintherainbow – says hello

Well, I have finally succumbed to the ‘gentle persuasion’ of Mr Livingintherainbow to post on the blog. I know that if you are reading this then you probably have a baby who has died and for that I am sorry. It is this sadness in our lives that has caused our paths to cross but it is good that we can support each other. Our story – you can read in this blog. Mr Livingintherainbow is much better with words than me, I tend to be short and sweet. But I do exist and I do agree that there is comfort in knowing that we are not alone in this journey.

  1. [...] I think perhaps there is only one candidate for this now – my lovely wife.  She is the only person in the world who totally gets what it is like to not have our daughter Abigail with us here.  She is Abigail’s mum.  We have grown closer over this last year and I really really love her.  I think we are both beginning to look to the future now and that is encouraging, challenging and a little bit scary.  But I know we can face it together.  She isn’t the type to talk much in blogs but I am pleased to have welcomed her to a small extent here. 2. :) Hi Mrs LITR

    • Hi to you to Caz. I just want to say how sorry I am that your Sophia is not here with you. Mrs LITR (that is much shorter to type)

  3. Hi Mrs Livingintherainbow,
It’s nice to see you writing on the blog.

I sometimes wonder how all the other dads out there are getting on, since the majority of the blogs seem to be written by the mammies!

I hope you are keeping as well as can be.

    Irishdad.

    • Thanks. We are doing ok. It is good to meet people who can share some of this journey.
