Thanks to My Baby, Emma’s blog (another Dad!) for pointing me to these haunting lyrics by Snow Patrol. It captures well how I feel as I think about my daughter’s life, death, birth…
I don’t quite know How to say How I feel .
Those three words Are said too much They’re not enough .
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me And just forget the world

I have been reading your blog and just asked my husband to read it. You write so beautifully about Abigail. Your songs for her are the same ones I have. I would like to recommend another to you. Its called Still by Gerrit Hofsink. You can get it on ITUNES.
Our Max would be 3 tomorrow and the pain never goes. It subsides and comes in waves. I miss him so much. We also have other children but none are our perfect Max.
God Bless you

Thank you
I am listening to Still now – thank you for pointing me to it. I love it.
Thank you for your encouragement on the blog too. I am sorry you do not have Max with you. And, I hope his 3rd birthday is gentle on you. I just visited his site and lit a candle there.
God Bless you

I have been reading your blog and am just so heartbroken for your family. I was stunned to realize that the day you lost your sweet Abigail was a mere two days (and 6 yrs later) after we lost our first son, Elijah. On Oct 15th 2003 (at 25 wks) we discovered he no longer had a heartbeat. He was born on October 18th. I know, all too well, the pain of celebrating the anniversary of the day your life changed forever. I will be fervently praying for your family over the next few days and in the coming months. May the God of all peace miraculously comfort you during this time.
Blessings.

Thanks so much Kelly, I really appreciate what you have said
I have been following your blog for several months so it is nice to have you visit here too. Like you, I also have a strong connection with Africa. http://livingintherainbow.com/2009/10/09/can-good-come-from-bad/ – I also work for a Christian Charity in Africa and make regular trips there. Perhaps, one day we will adopt a child from there too.
Anyway thanks for your comfort
